ABOUT OUR CLUB

The Albany Creek GPS Brumbies Rugby Club is a family friendly club that aims to inspire individuals and teams to achieve their potential and develop and play courageously within the spirit of the game.

We encourage boys and girls aged between 5 and 18 to join our club and we welcome them, their families and supporters to our big Brumbies family.

Our club has excellent facilities, a new and modern club house, well-maintained fields with lights for evening training and games and an active social calendar that is open to all members and their families.

From 2021, we have also been home to the Albany Creek Girls Rugby Academy.

OUR HISTORY & PHILOSOPHY

The Albany Creek GPS Brumbies Rugby Club was established in 1996 when Premier Brisbane Club GPS Old Boys created a new satellite junior rugby union club at Albany Creek.

Albany Creek GPS has since incorporated and is now an independent entity.

Our philosophy is to inspire individuals and teams to achieve their potential, develop and play courageously within the spirit of the game. Players are also given the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills by motivating, encouraging and supporting each player within a team environment.

The club has grown significantly since it started and has provided playing opportunities for thousands of members over the past 21 years.

With excellent clubhouse facilities and well-maintained fields we have hosted several large major events in recent years including representative trials, development carnivals, preliminary and semi-final campaigns as well as the prestigious Queensland State Championships in 2013 and 2017.

Our club was named “Club of the Year” in 2013.

OUR FACILITIES

The Brumbies is home to a modern club house, built in 2021, which houses six change rooms (each with showers, toilets and whiteboard facilities), a formal club room, bar, public toilets and a state of the art canteen with large BBQ facilities.   We have two well maintained playing fields and access to three others all with lights for evening training and games as well as plenty of parking.

OUR VOLUNTEERS

Our people are what makes the Albany Creek Brumbies a great club. Not just our players, but also the Mums and Dads, coaches, managers and supporters too.

It sometimes takes a small army of volunteers to run the club, so we are always looking for people to join our volunteer ranks.

If you would like to volunteer with the Albany Creek Brumbies, please get in touch here and let us know how or where you would like to help.  Without volunteers the club stops functioning.
