The Brumbies annual Muster Night is almost upon us.
It is on this night that teams are allocated, coaches and managers appointed and the first official team training sessions take place.
Muster Night event details
- Friday 13 March
- From 6pm
- Albany Creek Brumbies Rugby Club, South Pine Sports Complex.
Teams, Coaches & Team Managers
- Some age groups have large numbers of registered players and will be divided into multiple playing teams on Muster Night.
- Whilst the majority of our coaches are already in place for 2020, some teams that are yet to appoint coaches and we will call for volunteers for these vacant coaching roles on Muster Night.
- Team Managers will also be appointed on the night, and are responsible for team communications, match scoring and liaison with opposition team mangers throughout the season.
Friday night training
- Following team allocations and coach and manager appointments, teams will undertake their first official Friday night training session.
- These sessions will run every Friday night for the remainder of the season (except for school holidays) from 6pm – 7pm for the most age groups and from 7pm – 8pm for a couple of the older age groups.
Player kits
- Team Managers will be asked to record shirt, short and shoe sizes for each NEW player in their team on Muster Night so that player kits can be distributed in the next couple of weeks.
Club committee
- A club committee member will briefly address each team to discuss parent and player obligations and assist teams with any questions they may have.
- Committee members will also be on hand to talk to any parents that wish to join the committee. It is important that every age group has a voice in the running of the club.
Food, Drink and Entertainment
- With our club canteen out of action for the 2020 season, we intend to have food vans on site on a rotation system. Details on who will be there each Friday night will be published closer to the date.
- We look forward to seeing the whole family at the club on Friday 13 March as we celebrate our annual Muster Night and the start of a very big 2020 rugby season.
