The Brumbies annual Muster Night is almost upon us.
It is on this night that teams are allocated, coaches and managers appointed and the first official team training sessions take place.
Muster Night event details
- Friday 8 March
- 6pm – 7pm
- Albany Creek Brumbies Rugby Club, South Pine Sports Complex.
Teams, Coaches & Team Managers
- Some age groups have large numbers of registered players and will be divided into multiple playing teams on Muster Night.
- Whilst the majority of our coaches are already in place for 2019, some teams that are yet to appoint coaches and we will call for volunteers for these vacant coaching roles on Muster Night.
- Team Managers will also be appointed on the night, and are responsible for team communications, match scoring and liaison with opposition team mangers throughout the season.
Friday night training
- Following team allocations and coach and manager appointments, teams will undertake their first official Friday night training session.
- These sessions will run every Friday night from 6pm – 7pm for the remainder of the season (except for school holidays).
Player kits
- Team Managers will be asked to record shirt, short and shoe sizes for each NEW player in their team on Muster Night so that player kits can be distributed in the next couple of weeks.
Club committee
- A club committee member will briefly address each team to discuss parent and player obligations and assist teams with any questions they may have.
- Committee members will also be on hand to talk to any parents that wish to join the committee. It is important that every age group has a voice in the running of the club.
Food, Drink and Entertainment
- The club canteen will be open with hot food, lollies, snacks, soft drinks and alcohol for sale and our popular coffee cart will also be up and running again.
- We look forward to seeing the whole family at the clubhouse on Friday 8 March as we celebrate our annual Muster Night and the start of a very big 2019 Rugby season.
